May 16. Mikes.

Alright, so I know it's been a few days since I have posted a blog, but I have good reason! I promise. I am in the National Guard, and all weekend I have had drill, where we run, drill, and do cool stuff from 0600 - 1600 :) amazing! I love it! Anyways, on the 14th, Michael Dunn & I had a lazy day. We went to Onslow Beach on Lejeune, and just shot random stuff. Well, more like Mr. Blockhead, Darth Vader, & practiced close -ups on each other. There are a few shots. Tonight (Sunday Night) I was finally able to use my camera, so I decided to take some pictures of "Mike's" drinks. Soooooo, here you go! Love you all! :] More later this week if I can squeeze in the time. I have to get ready to go to basic training in Ft. Jackson, SC for 10 weeks. :)

Mommy's Day [May 9]

Well, Happy Mothers Day to all! I called all the mothers in my life, have you called yours?! Today it was pretty bad because I started to get a heat rash on my chest, definitely NOT the best thing ever. So instead I went to Emerald Isle & took pictures of the locals! There was a man that caught a shark! It was pretty intense! HaHaHa. . we saw so many dolphins, I tried to get a good picture, but I couldn't with my lens. Sad Day. Maybe next time! Following TAKING pictures, I had pictures TAKEN of me. . .and I just got back to the house from a meeting with Michael Dunn (Photographer & Friend). We did a "mini-photoshoot" for his 365 project. Similar to what I'm doing. And got some really awesome pictures! They will be up on my FB soon. :) I don't work the next few days, so there will be a few pictures or so. I will see you all later! Thanks for being amazing "mothers of the world!"

Thirsty Thursday May 6 2010

So, it's pretty much been the longest Thursday everrrrrr. Karma is on my side hopefully though. . . .I took a fellow co-worker home last night (she lives 45 min in the OPPOSITE direction that I do). I went to the beach today with a fellow art enthusiast (he's a musician), and we just laid there for a few hours, didn't really say much, but then again, we didn't really need to. I didn't get the kind of pictures I wanted, but Popeye managed to get one. Lucky Sailor ;) hahaha. Then I went and had dinner/lunch with my bestie Crawford. Thanks Dude! Your AWESOME! I hope that this friday I will get more luck with pictures. Who knows, maybe you will see my feet again. hahaha. Anyways, I'm going to make this one pleasantly short. So, here you go. I have a very big weekend ahead of me.

Cinco De Mayo. hahah.

Feliz Cinco De Mayo Everyone! I realize that it's already the 6th of May, but I didn't really have alot of time to blog during the day and had to wait until I got off of work and got back home. Let me tell you what, this day could NOT have drug on any faster than it did. If it would have taken longer, I probably would have died, well, not really....but I felt that way! Anyways, back to the important parts of the day :) I woke up after an AMAZING dream about basketball (how I miss the good ol' days of high school....(don't rush it kids, seriously..). Didn't really do much, hung out with a awesome sidekick named "Vana Black." We (Or should I really be saying "I") had a photoshoot with Popeye; Yes, Popeye the Sailor Man. He's amazing! You should know this. I figured it would make my life much more interesting in the end to somehow incorporate Popeye into every photoshoot I did. You will see what I mean as time progresses. The story behind Popeye. . .He was my dads FAVORITE while he was growing up, the little "figurine" that I have, was what my dad had when we lived in Okinawa, Japan before he passed away 8 years ago. Wow, time flies. Here you go. More later on today (the 6th of May.) On a better note, I was published today in local photographer Michael D. Dunn's book called "Prologue." Check it out. I have 3 photos in it. I was the first to autograph his copy and I cannot wait to see more! (By the way, I am a model too..) Speaking of celebrations, nobody really celebrated today at my work, but that is quite alright. Because I wasn't in the mood to deal with a bunch of drunk Marines anyways. :) The bartender wore his sombrero, but not for long. . . . sad day. Good Night Bloggers.

May the 4th be with you :]

[Thank You Michael D. Dunn Photography For the witty quote.] Today is Tuesday, how amazing right? You would think not, but it's very humid, rainy, cloudy outside and it reminds me of Washington! How Awesome is that?! Most people don't think it's that great, but I do because I am very easily entertained. Haha. Follow along and you will be too, I promise. ;) But the photographer Michael D. Dunn had told me about this project that he did. 365 days a year he took pictures, I don't have 365 days because I am leaving for basic training (National Guard, 91H) on May 25. But I promise to restart/continue this project as soon as I can. But anyways, here are today's pictures. I love Bats. (Tattoos, Necklaces, etc.) & I also LOVE Rain. I'm from the Pacific NW so it's refreshing to have it come to me for once. Speaking of which, I hear a frog right outside the window, I'm going to go catch it, See you later!!

Well, I'm back! I decided to head down to the local surf spot (Surf City, NC) to do some "rainy day" shooting. It was interesting. I was using a lense that I am not familiar with yet, so I didn't get very many good shots. But here are a few that I did get, that I DO like. I hope you do too! Well, I have to get ready for work now & prepare for CINCO DE MAYO! Woo-Hoo!

Myrtle Beach.

This is my VERY first blog! Exciting Eh? hahah. I work A LOT. So I have almost no time to go anywhere. . . but yesterday I was spontaneous and went with a local photographer and a friend down to Boardwalk on Broadway in Myrtle Beach, SC. Might I say that it was absolutely AMAZING. She was gorgeous, as usual, he was funny, as usual, and it was just an all around good time. We had the best fried pickles at Oceanfront Bar & Grille while listening to a local strum his guitar and sing us some Sublime. Epic. Followed by a relaxing walk on the strip and some rolling around on the sand. That was NO fun at all because it got really cold, really fast and we had to wash off using one of the public shower heads, FREEZING. But all in all, it was a stupendous time in the SE.
