2011

What a crazy year already! Has anybody else been on the rollercoaster ive been on? Wow. I'm all finished with training, got married to my Husband <3 (finally). And am back on my feet as a successful woman. :) we all have our moments of struggle, but perserverance conquers all!! We live in the city of Asheville, NC. Right down the road from the wonderous Biltmore Estate! It's amazing! I'll have to go again and bring my camera with me. It's really been a struggle out here. My camera stopped working as I was taking pictures of my husbands & I's wedding rings, but now it works all of a sudden. Oh well, Im not complaining! Along with a new job that I just recently quit, (more like got fired with a smile) and modeling really booming, I only hope that my photography would start taking off as well. I have missed my camera so much :) Here I am with my new computer and a new photo-editing program that I have to get used to... Ugh. I hate new stuff ;) Heres a few photos of whats been going on. Keep updated, there will be much more to come :)

Sessions

Well, the business has been very slow, new environment, busy work schedules; you all know the deal.

But I am very busy in pursuing business as we speak, although, the current issue is that the work I do get, is all the way in Washington State! Crazy eh? I love it anyway. Back to business, I did a wedding back in December, and as you all know, it was my very FIRST wedding. So I would like to thank Melissa & James for letting me capture their special day. As Melissa did state in my REVIEW section of my FB fan page, the problem with being a beginner photographer is that I cannot make my photo's the awesome quality for large portrait pictures. But that is also what is driving me to buy an all new set-up. A Nikon D700 w/different lenses to work with! :)

I am so very excited! I cannot wait. Anyways, here are a few of my favorite shots that did come from the wedding. :) Now, if you have any tips, comments, compliments or anything in particular... even just a friendly hello, just let me know.

Now, more about the wedding. It took place on Camp Lejeune, NC. It was such a BEAUTIFUL venue and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better first time wedding shoot. I just wish I had more time & had the right equipment to capture the full beauty and potential of the magical day. Life A-New

Hey there everybody! Thanks for following for such a loooong time. (The whole...4 of you) Anyways, here's an updated status of my life and what's going on in the photography world... Uh, Nothing. There I'm done. Hahah, but no really, I went to Ft. Jackson, SC basic training for the Army; soooo many cool things to take pictures of there! But they wouldn't, let me have my camera. If your good at visuals, then I'll tell you about it. . . *sitting at the range, all the M-16's on the V-notch stakes pointed downrange, soldiers laying in the prone supported position waiting for the "GO" to start shooting....Time: 1700, so the sun is just perfect!* it's awesome. . . there were about 50+ in a row. The repetition was once in a lifetime. MMMMHM. But, then came graduation, and now were in AIT which is in Maryland! Hooah. DC is just an hour down the road, Baltimore is a bit more, but were just smack dab in the middle of it all, when I go to DC, then i will take lots of pictures and post them as updates. But for now, here are a few pictures of whats been going on this 4-day weekend in APG. :)

looooong story cut short. Trust me.

May 16. Mikes.

Alright, so I know it's been a few days since I have posted a blog, but I have good reason! I promise. I am in the National Guard, and all weekend I have had drill, where we run, drill, and do cool stuff from 0600 - 1600 :) amazing! I love it! Anyways, on the 14th, Michael Dunn & I had a lazy day. We went to Onslow Beach on Lejeune, and just shot random stuff. Well, more like Mr. Blockhead, Darth Vader, & practiced close -ups on each other. There are a few shots. Tonight (Sunday Night) I was finally able to use my camera, so I decided to take some pictures of "Mike's" drinks. Soooooo, here you go! Love you all! :] More later this week if I can squeeze in the time. I have to get ready to go to basic training in Ft. Jackson, SC for 10 weeks. :)

Mommy's Day [May 9]

Well, Happy Mothers Day to all! I called all the mothers in my life, have you called yours?! Today it was pretty bad because I started to get a heat rash on my chest, definitely NOT the best thing ever. So instead I went to Emerald Isle & took pictures of the locals! There was a man that caught a shark! It was pretty intense! HaHaHa. . we saw so many dolphins, I tried to get a good picture, but I couldn't with my lens. Sad Day. Maybe next time! Following TAKING pictures, I had pictures TAKEN of me. . .and I just got back to the house from a meeting with Michael Dunn (Photographer & Friend). We did a "mini-photoshoot" for his 365 project. Similar to what I'm doing. And got some really awesome pictures! They will be up on my FB soon. :) I don't work the next few days, so there will be a few pictures or so. I will see you all later! Thanks for being amazing "mothers of the world!"

Thirsty Thursday May 6 2010

So, it's pretty much been the longest Thursday everrrrrr. Karma is on my side hopefully though. . . .I took a fellow co-worker home last night (she lives 45 min in the OPPOSITE direction that I do). I went to the beach today with a fellow art enthusiast (he's a musician), and we just laid there for a few hours, didn't really say much, but then again, we didn't really need to. I didn't get the kind of pictures I wanted, but Popeye managed to get one. Lucky Sailor ;) hahaha. Then I went and had dinner/lunch with my bestie Crawford. Thanks Dude! Your AWESOME! I hope that this friday I will get more luck with pictures. Who knows, maybe you will see my feet again. hahaha. Anyways, I'm going to make this one pleasantly short. So, here you go. I have a very big weekend ahead of me.
